Despite the upheaval that came through our country through the catastrophic pandemic and its effects on America, the San Diego Book Awards Association and its volunteers have been quietly continuing with the contest for our 25th year.

The unpublished judges have turned in their scores to the judging chair, and there will be no finalists in any of unpublished categories this year.

However, the published contest is in full swing, and finalists should be announced sometime in May. Published winners will be announced on June 15th, with cash prizes going out shortly thereafter.

Despite the COVID-19 affects on the SD Writers Festival and Canyon Crest Academy Writers Conference, we are still proud sponsors and look forward to serving them in any capacity we are capable in the coming months.
