Local Author Showcase Reception

Greetings San Diego County Authors:
Did you publish a book or ebook in 2019?
If the answer is yes, and if you reside in San Diego County (zip codes 91901-92199), YOU ARE INVITED to participate in the upcoming 54th Annual Local Author Showcase!
As the crowning ceremony that launches the Local Author Program, the Showcase offers our published authors and guests a first look at the books accepted into the program. The event will run the entire month of February 2020 in the beautiful San Diego Central Library @ Joan Λ Irwin Jacobs Common. The library features a special component for Little Local Authors, ages 11 and under. Teen Local Authors between 12 and 18 years old are also featured in the Local Author Showcase. All qualified authors will receive an invitation which will be sent separately after the registration process has concluded.

- Complete the online registration prior to dropping off your book. *

If you use a pen name, please register under your pen name NOT your real name. For all intents and purposes, the name on the book cover is your name.
- If your book is in both print and digital format, please register and submit the PRINT version only.
- All authors must submit an image (jpeg preferred) of their book cover to complete registration. PDF files will not be accepted.
*It is preferred for you to drop off your book personally at the Central Library. You may, however, send it to Central or drop it off at your closest branch of the San Diego Public Library.

LAST DAY TO REGISTER AND SUBMIT YOUR BOOK IS MONDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 2019 – ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS. If your book is not ready and printed by this date it does not qualify.
