As with the two previous UT Bookfests, the crowds were big and interest ran high. Authors spoke at several forums, and promoted their work at Authors’ Alley.

Several writer’s groups were there also, and prominent San Diego bookstores set up booths. This year, the San Diego Book Awards had a booth where several past and current year award winners showcased their award-winning books. It was quite a day for all, and an increasingly important event in San Diego’s literary scene.

This year, the submissions period for the 25th Annual San Diego Book Awards opens on October 1st, and runs through December 31st. Don’t miss out!
